New Zealand school terms and holidays
The New Zealand school year starts at the end of January or early February and ends in December.The year consists of four terms with a break between each and a longer break at Christmas (summer).

New Zealand school holidays
Schools must be closed in on Saturdays and Sundays and on the following public holidays:
- New Years Day – 1 January
- Day after New Years Day – 2 January
- Waitangi Day – 6 February
- Good Friday – March/April (varies each year)
- Easter Monday – March/April (varies each year)
- Anzac Day – 25 April
- Queen's Birthday – First Monday in June
- Labour Day – Fourth Monday in October
- Christmas Day – 25 December
- Boxing Day – 26 December
- Relevant Anniversary Day Holiday
