Who We Are
We first opened our doors in 1873 with branches in Wellington,
Auckland and Christchurch.
Today we have all the benefits of belonging to a major international financial group, yet we remain very much committed to New Zealand.
We aim to provide our customers with the best possible services and products and are committed to exploring and developing new technology to provide even better services and conveniences.
Our People
We are very proud of the people who work for us. Our core values are:
- Value personal growth and development
- Do what is right for the customer
- Always act with integrity
- Lead, inspire and respect each other
- Participate in our communities.
We are always looking for more people with the same desire for quality and pride in what they do as part of our commitment to be the best possible place to work.
Community Involvement
Our sponsorship initiatives link us closely with our communities. Daffodil Day is an annual Cancer Society appeal, and we not only contribute financially, but virtually every staff member becomes involved in the fundraising efforts, often having a whole lot of fun in the process.
The National Bank is also a major sponsor of New Zealand Cricket, New Zealand Netball and New Zealand's premier farming contest, The National Bank Young Farmer Contest.
