Information Technology Outsourcing
EDS New Zealand owns, houses and manages clients’ IT equipment ranging from mainframes to PCs to networks. EDS pays more than one million beneficiaries each fortnight for the Ministry of Social Development, it handles overnight interbank exchange and settlement and runs the IT infrastructures of the world’s sixth largest dairy exporter Fonterra and New Zealand’s biggest listed company Telecom.
Applications Development
More than 600 applications developers create, test and maintain software applications for domestic and offshore clients. The applications division has strong expertise in newer technologies such as Java, .Net and SAP as well as legacy applications.
Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)
This rapidly growing arm of EDS New Zealand includes a 200-plus seat state of the art contact centre in Auckland and one of New Zealand’s biggest print and mail centres
in Christchurch. BPO manages most of New Zealand’s cheque-processing each night and handles end-to-end household rates billing for the largest rating agency in Australasia.
