Capacity

Who we are - what we do

At Capacity we are innovative in the way we manage water, stormwater and wastewater services for a major part of the Wellington region. Our vision is to be the first choice in infrastructure services.

We manage more than 4,500 kilometres of pipes, 100 reservoirs and 140 pump stations for our clients, Wellington and Hutt city councils.

However, we do not own the assets, set policies or control the rates and user charges - these functions remain with the councils. We do recommend changes to policy.

The services we manage are used for residential, industrial and recreational purposes for ratepayers, residents and visitors of Wellington and Hutt cities.

Capacity provides best practice asset management of the water, stormwater and wastewater networks of the councils. This includes asset management planning and the implementation of asset improvement tasks.
