Since 1932, Goughs has been the Caterpillar dealer in New Zealand, supporting a wide cross section of leading industries and giving us a proven history of commitment to our customers. We offer the entire Caterpillar product range of machines and engines, all of which are designed, engineered and built to be the toughest and most reliable in the world.
We provide a wide range of services associated with the importation, marketing and ongoing support of every Caterpillar product we sell, both new and used. Goughs’ branches nationwide all comply with Caterpillar’s high international standards for dealer premises. These modern facilities are equipped with the diagnostic, repair and test equipment to ensure machine downtime is kept to a minimum. We have the locations, field servicemen and parts inventory to make good our service promise.
In facilities, equipment and training, Goughs makes the necessary investment to best serve our customers. We established the Goughs Institute of Training in 2001 to focus on the recruitment and development of our apprentices and the trade training of our servicemen. The Institute, now a world leader among Caterpillar dealers, also offers to customers fee-based machine operator development and forklift operator training.
Goughs Power Systems covers the five areas of diesel power delivery – marine power, industrial power systems, diesel and gas generators, truck/bus engines and electricity generators for the expanding oil and gas industry. Our aim is to provide New Zealand customers with the most comprehensive engine product range that Caterpillar has to offer.
