Below is a snapshot of the award-winning projects our people have been involved in during 2007:
- The first major renewable energy project to be built in Fiji for over 25 years was announced as the winner at the NZ Engineering Excellence Awards
- MWH’s innovative heating and ventilation system for Dunedin Airport received an award at the EECA Energywise Awards
- In collaboration with Transit New Zealand, MWH won the New Zealand Road Innovation Award for its ground-breaking work to identify environmental risk on the state highway network
- MWH won the Land Transport NZ Award for Cycle-Friendly Commitment by Business for its 'Green Kilometres' on pool bikes initiative
- Louise Jones, an Environmental Engineer, was a finalist in the New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards for Young Engineer of the Year. The nomination recognised Louise’s contribution to integrated programme management within local councils, her involvement in mentoring younger engineers, and her expertise in water supply legislation.
