Who We Are
The Engineering Division consists of five business units – each with a unique capability. Autonomy over day-to-day operations is balanced with internal joint ventures being used to maximise the combined advantage of individual business units.
Fletcher Construction
pursue and manage projects of all sizes including the largest projects available in the New Zealand market either alone or in joint venture with partners supplying specialist skills or technology. Civil, marine, industrial and multidisciplinary projects that require stand-alone project management are delivered under the “Fletcher Construction” brand. Smaller projects and projects of a particular specialist nature are usually pursued by one of the division’s other business units.
Brian Perry Civil
has substantial self-performing capability in structures, marine work, pipelines and foundations including piling. It also performs in wider civil engineering projects such as wastewater treatment plants. Operating as an autonomous business unit with a distinct culture and independence it complements the operation of the Engineering Division. Brian Perry Civil operates a regional structure from its Hamilton head office with branches in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. It also undertakes selected specialist work in the South Pacific. Its unique culture offers training and career development opportunities for engineers, contract supervisors and project managers in rotation with the Engineering Division.
PipeWorks
offers pipeline rehabilitation and trenchless construction solutions to industry and local authorities. From a small base it has grown with an expanding market to maintain infrastructure assets, rehabilitate deteriorating pipelines and prevent storm water infiltration into sewer networks. There is an expected growth potential for the industry due to the current age and deteriorated condition of existing pipeline assets. Pipeworks is a contractor with specialist capability in “trench-less” technology particularly Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP). It offers other technologies such as horizontal directional drilling (HDD), pipe bursting, lateral installation, CCTV inspections and a growing range of dig and lay pipeline installations.
Piletech
is a foundation-engineering contractor specialising in screw piles, light weight steel sheet piles and screwed ground anchors. It predominantly operates with design-build alternatives to conventional piling and ground retention.
Seovic
is a business that constructs concrete traffic barriers and walls using the latest technology and equipment for continuous slip-forming of concrete.
Across all these business units we deliver a wide range of projects on a design and construct basis. The procurement processes for these vary from competitively tendered lump sum contracts, to negotiated contracts and project alliances.
