Our move to New Zealand was driven by a desire to live in a country untouched by the violence that we have become accustomed to and also to provide our future family with unlimited opportunities.
I worked as a senior network/security engineer in South Africa and was very fortunate to secure a job whilst still in SA and now work for a great company with plenty of opportunities.
Scherijke and I are currently living in Auckland City and we are exploring the New Zealand countryside and beaches over weekends where we would love to settle one day.
New Zealand is an absolute beautiful country and we have fallen in love with several beach locations. We really feel that we have made the right decision as it is a perfect country for raising kids and living safely in harmony with nature.
We have had a couple of days of homesickness but these where quickly smothered by a quick trip to one of the west coast beaches for a quick surf.
