A year on, my family and I are well settled in our new life. My wife has put her career on hold to enjoy being a full time mum in NZ. She is spending more time with the children and the range of outdoor opportunities for youngsters is excellent (from going to the local park, joining various sports clubs, to visiting the beach - which you can do all year round!)
The lifestyle is definitely more relaxed in New Zealand than in the UK, and getting a work/life balance is an important work ethic at Harrison Grierson. The work is varied and interesting, colleagues friendly and helpful, and career progression exists for those prepared to work hard and make their mark. In return, Harrison Grierson has an active social club that organises a range of activities throughout the year, including a mid-year event, regular barbecues and other social events.
