Venture Taranaki is the Taranaki region’s economic and tourism development agency. Made up of integrated teams working in economic and business development, marketing, events, film and tourism, Venture Taranaki works one-on-one with individuals, businesses, small groups, clusters, sectors and industry to grow the economic wellbeing of Taranaki.
It is also responsible for attracting and managing a number of major events in the region, such as music events and festivals including WOMAD, Mark Knoppfler, REM, Jack Johnson, UB40, Westlife and Elton John, as well as sporting events including the ITU World Triathlon, University games and the Round the Mountain Cycle Challenge – one of the largest bike races in New Zealand.
