Tertiary qualification and Chartered Professional Engineer status (or international equivalent).
At least 15 years experience in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering design, with a specialised focus in Water and Wastewater or Public Health Engineering. This should include significant experience of leading design teams on large multi-disciplinary water projects.
URS New Zealand has an established and successful track record for design and construction supervision of wastewater treatment facilities and pipelines - typically large diameter - across New Zealand and internationally.
We are currently seeking an experienced Design Team Manager to lead the planning, design, development and implementation of projects, to be based in our Auckland office.
We would expect the successful candidate to be capable of developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, and to have strong project management experience.
In addition you will be able to contribute to the technical direction of a project, be well versed in minimising and mitigating business and project risk, and be able to provide technical support and mentoring to staff as required.
Business development skills are not specifically required for this role, although anyone with an interest in this area would be given opportunities to contribute to the ongoing development of our water and wastewater business.
