Minimum experience: 10 years in HVAC and or critical facilities design, including pipe and ductwork sizing, systems and plantroom layouts. Proficiency in relevant design software packages and modelling.
This role requires an individual who is an effective marketer with solid industry knowledge and experience in the mechanical services field. He / She will have a keen interest in business development, proposal preparation and be comfortable liasing in either technical or marketing discussions with existing and new clients.
This person will have responsibility for promoting the mechanical business line in URS's Wellington office, with full support provided from the existing dynamic and effective mechanical and electrical team.
Working on a wide range of commercial buildings and critical facilities projects, specific responsibilities include:
Mechanical design engineering
Report writing
Site based supervision of contractors
Project management
Client liaison
Business Development and Marketing
You will be self-motivated; innovative; passionate about the environment and sustainability; be resourceful and be able to work either alone or as part of a team. You will be committed to customer service and satisfaction; have good written and oral communication skills; project management skills; and a high degree of computer literacy.
