Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Engineering (Essential)
-Chartered Professional Engineer (Desirable)
Skills:
-Well developed structural design skills, and experience in application of NZ Standards.
-Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
-Ability to develop ongoing relationships with Clients.
Knowledge:
-Experience in design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures.
Experience:
-A minimum of 5 years experience in structural engineering

The Structural Engineer is responsible for providing design services across the full range of services structural group. They will provide specialist, client recognised technical skills, and support other members of the team through mentoring and peer review. The person will be required to build client relationships and networks in order to grow the group and company business, through marketing and business development of the group and across groups.
Responsibilities/Objectives:
-To demonstrate and maintain a high level of technical ability. To be cognisant of business and project risks to URS New Zealand
-To develop and maintain excellent relationships with Clients
-Become a recognised provider of services on behalf of URS in one or more core service delivery areas on a local and national basis
-To be involved in promoting and supporting URS New Zealand's Vision and strategic plan, and in promoting URS and all the services we provide in the wider marketplace.
-To contribute to the planning, development and implementation of strategies that will achieve the business objectives
