A pivotal role with this manufacturer, you will help keep things running and continue to improve plant reliability

Our client is a well-respected player in the New Zealand timber industry, exporting lumber and pulp as well as supplying local markets. With a policy of continuous improvement to plant, they are now keen to add a Condition Monitoring Technician to their Reliability team.
In this role, you will:
• Be responsible for conducting vibration analysis and other such testing
• Analysing data collected
• Assist in the implementation of Predictive/ Proactive Maintenance systems
• Participate in accident and failure investigations
• Give advise of overhaul requirements based on CM data
• Training and support of a CM ‘Tradesperson’ carrying out other CM testing
This role is seen as a pivotal position within the Reliability Engineering team and to be successful, you will:
• Be tertiary qualified in Mechanical Engineering
• Have experience in Condition Monitoring techniques and procedures
• Have data analysis skills
• Be able to train and mentor other staff members
• Be an above average communicator
• Be capable of working autonomously and to work outside normal hours
This is a busy and challenging position that will require tact and tenacity to ensure everyone is ‘on board’. The role will combine a mix daily CM testing and data analysis, with you ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the plant.
This is seen a relatively senior and pivotal position within the Reliability team and as such an attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant.
