Tax Consultant

Location: Auckland, North Shore City

Position: Finance, Tax Accounting

• North Shore Financial Services Company
• Maintain and enhance tax accounting systems
• Min 2 years accounting or industry experience

Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with all the company’s taxation functions. This includes completion of income tax returns in an accurate and timely manner and ensuring all the necessary documentation is complete.

Key responsibilities include:
• Maintain the tax accounting systems to provide accurate management information.
• Reconciliation of all tax ledger accounts for financial reporting
• GST accruals analysis
• Arranging payment of provisional tax so as not to incur penalties.
• Preparation of tax advice and making file notes.
• Liaison with the IRD on appropriate compliance matters


You will be responsible for planning and co-ordinating across a number of departments; setting and achieving realistic objectives, timely reporting and understanding the tax complexity of this financial services business.
