Contact generates between 25-30% of New Zealand’s electricity needs from a diverse range of power stations (and is currently advancing plans to spend up to $2 billion on new renewable energy projects). Contact has around 635,000 electricity, gas and LPG customers’ across New Zealand.
Our ICT team is on the move! With a new leader at the helm and an unprecedented transformation planned for the coming years, we are looking for a senior person who will drive value in our business from ICT innovation in either our Retail business unit, Generation business unit or Wholesale/Finance business units.
If you’re the right person for the job, you’re an excellent communicator, negotiator and strategic thinker who can not only manage successful delivery of a broad and complex program of work, but who can also actively contribute to the business strategy by creating the multi-year ICT roadmap and fostering innovation and close cooperation between ICT and your business unit. You use your many years of ICT, commercial and outsourcing experience to your advantage acting as the crucial bridge between the business unit and the ICT delivery organisation - you ensure a constant focus in ICT on delivering measurable business value and innovation.
You’ll have full accountability for defining and delivering on the strategic ICT plan for the business unit, and reporting on progress in financial terms and quantified benefits. It goes without saying that you’re a seasoned professional in the ICT field but you also have in depth past experience of the business area that you will be servicing. Experience with outsourcing or service contract management is a plus.
