Our Wellington office has an opening for an Experienced Water Resources Engineer to take on a leadership level role in regards to the projects we are working on and the clients we are working for. A high performer in this role will be considered for fast track career development opportunities and future share-holding prospects may be a very real option for you a bit further down the track.
We are looking for someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:
* An appropriate tertiary qualification (civil/environmental engineer or similar).
* At least 5 years of relevant experience, with the bulk of these ideally coming from a consulting environment working on projects relating to stormwater, water and wastewater.
* Good design capabilities
* The ability to lead and manage technically oriented people.
* The ability to quickly develop positive relationships with client organisations
* The commercial acumen and experience required to successfully manage a project to the client's requirements.
Whilst you will be based in Wellington and working like minded people - you will also be a valuable member of the National Water & Environmental team. This means that you will have the opportunity to work on local regional projects, as well as projects right across NZ and potentially overseas as well.
We are already working on a number of projects where you could apply your skills. Recent examples in the Wellington region include:
* Swale design for CentrePort Business Park
* Turitea Wind Farm erosion control planning
* SH2 Dowse-Petone upgrade stormwater design
* Wellington International Airport stormwater interceptor design
* Local Government projects such as Duck Creek flood plain management advice and mapping
