It’s rare that an opportunity like this comes along. Certainly this isn’t an everyday vacancy and in turn the successful applicant will be someone of exceptional skill and experience. The company in question are an established and proficient civil contractor used to working on both sides of the Tasman, who have been involved with some of the most significant civil infrastructure projects in New Zealand over the past 10+ years. Due to relocation they find themselves needing a Chief Civil Estimator based within their Auckland office, working on projects throughout the country.
Clearly at this point in your career you will not need to specific a job description at this stage. However, as Chief Estimator you will run a team of specialists throughout New Zealand, a team that is planned to grow over the coming months. Reporting to the Operations Manager for New Zealand you will be part of a management team that will strategically guide the company towards more success in New Zealand. Major projects are continually being targeted and you will guide your team through their integral part of the process.
Without question with a role of this level only the best people will be seriously considered. Applicants will have extensive experience in key estimating roles in the civil infrastructure sector, and are welcomed from all parts of the world. You will have a proven track record of managing a team, either estimators or civil engineers in general. As with any key position at this level there is a salary and package which reflects the skill and experience of the successful candidate. It is likely that this position will not be available for long and so it is essential that you apply swiftly.
