If you are after a role with a large multi-national contractor then this is not a role that will appeal to you. The role is based in the Bay of Plenty Branch of this smaller, but well established and experienced civil contracting company. Ideally the role is suited for someone looking to move their career forward. Potentially the ideal candidate will have gained experience in the civil sector as a site/project engineer and be looking to step up into to a more challenging, but equally fulfilling role. Attributes that will be beneficial but not essential to the role include,
• A recognised civil qualification such as NZCE or equivalent
• A positive and dynamic working attitude
• Hands on experience of civil works
• An ability to listen and communicate with both management and clients
Your experience ideally will be in utilities but could also have come from any facet of the civil industry and could include drainage, sub-division, road construction, bridge work, pre-cast concrete or piling. Although a general contractor their areas of specialism in the Bay of Plenty include drainage, water & waste water along with general utilities management.
This role has been created to cover a newly won contract in the region and is essential to the success of that contract. A generous package will be offered including a very competitive salary and other perks relating to the position. The package as a whole will be determined during and after interview and will be dependent on the experience the successful candidate brings to the company.
