As the Owner and Operator of New Zealand’s nationwide electrical transmission network, Transpower plays a central role in the electricity industry linking generators to distribution companies and major industrial users.
As a result of our long term project delivery commitments we are looking to recruit additional development transmission lines engineers. The roles are based in the Asset Development Engineering Group which is the primary provider of transmission engineering expertise in the organisation, and advises other business units on their proposals on projects and asset development. The role will involve:
• Delivering conceptual design reports for new build projects
• Providing engineering support for new build projects though regulatory and legal processes
• Assisting in the development of engineering policies, standards and specifications for transmission lines design and construction
In order to succeed in the role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and experience of working in the electricity transmission or distribution including undertaking project management of substations or lines assets. The team structure means that we are open to applications from those with a few years of post graduation experience to much more experienced engineers.
