As the Owner and Operator of New Zealand’s nationwide electrical transmission network, Transpower plays a central role in the electricity industry linking generators to distribution companies and major industrial users.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced transmission engineer to lead a team of specialist engineers. The role is based in the Asset Development Engineering Group which is the primary provider of transmission engineering expertise in the organisation and advises other business units on their proposals on projects and asset development. The role will involve:
• Establishing and delivering objectives for a team of development engineers
• Providing day to day leadership and ensuring effective allocation of resources
• Overseeing the development of engineering policies, standards and specifications for substation design and construction
In order to succeed in the role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification, proven leadership and management ability, as well as significant experience of managing transmission line engineering projects.
