The YMCA of Perth currently manages twenty four Outside School Hour Care centres and six Long Day Centres. Working in Childcare is not your average career. The Role:
We are seeking experienced and suitably qualified Assistant Directors for our Long Day Care Centres in Newman and Port Hedland which are due to open in 2009. The suitable applicant will need to meet the requirements for Supervising Officer under the Children and Community Service (Child Care) Regulations 2006, have a strong background in programming and be committed to the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood learning.
Key responsibilities include:-
• Support the Long Day Care Director in the day to day operation of the centre and any other childcare related programs within the area
• Manage the centre programming with staff input
• Assist in the management and support of all centre staff
• Assist in the on going development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial reports and provide monthly reports
• Assist in maintaining budgeted attendances and expenses as required
