The role:-

We are seeking a qualified Child Care Giver. It is essential that the successful applicant has a degree or diploma in early childhood/children’s services or equivalent as well as a current (or willing to obtain) Senior First Aid Certificate. You must also be able to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Certificate.

Key responsibilities include:-

• To develop a program that meets the needs of individual children and reflects children’s interest, development, culture and the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood learning
• To have direct responsibility for the management of a group of children
• Support and provide guidance to unqualified staff
• Maintain knowledge of child-care related legal issues and referral services
• To work as a member of a cooperative team within the centre.
• Have understanding and uphold the Regulations, Quality Assurance principles and YMCA policies and procedures
