This talented team leads the way in the management of information systems relating to the health status of the New Zealand population. They inform key decision makers on policy, identity and health care delivery systems and processes with the best available information. They provide advice relating to health sector information.

This senior position will require a strategic thinker and someone with outstanding relationships skills at an executive level. Knowledge of the Health and Disability sector would be an advantage but more important is someone who understands government and its "machinery" particularly in the area of responses to PQ's and OIA's. You will be responsible for providing advice on data management and understand all aspects of risk management regarding the use of data along with effective change throughout the sector.

As a Senior Advisor you will influence and manage positive outcomes through sound judgment. Your knowledge and experience within a data management environment will be essential as you will be responsible for providing advice on strategy relating to the use of identity systems and collections that will maximise the benefit of information for the Health Sector.

You will support the management of the National Information Systems and Collections for Health and be an interface within the Information Directorate and across the wider Ministry and Health Sector for the national information systems and collections.
