Based in Northland New Zealand working for one of NZ's TOP luxury lodge and golf resorts, we seek 3 talented chefs for the summer season.
I am looking for two or three talented chefs to join the kitchen team, at one of New Zealand's best and most exclusive Luxury Lodges, for the upcoming summer season.
This Relais & Chateaux Lodge and Golf Resort, located in Northland in the far north of New Zealand, offers some of the country’s best cuisine in one of New Zealand’s most amazing locations.
Their a la carte dinner menu changes nightly and features the finest in local produce and seafood, the best New Zealand lamb and beef are served, as well as top local and international wines. An internationally trained Executive Chef oversees the culinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for an up and coming chef to spend some time in a very professional kitchen where you will enhance your skills and be exposed to some top quality ingredients and exciting modern cuisine.
You will need to have 5 years’ experience in fine dining kitchens, preferably in Michelin starred or 3 Rosette restaurants, and be up to chef de partie level. You will be absolutely passionate about being a chef, have very high standards, excellent technical capabilities, attention to detail and commitment to furthering your career in a world class kitchen.
This position is for a season contract starting early November and going through until late March/early April. The lodge is fairly remote (25mins drive from nearest town) and does not offer accommodation on site so you will be required to have your own transport to and from work. Plenty of local accommodation is readily available. There could be potential to stay on permanently with this company.
