Our Industrial Business Group is approximately 200 people strong across NZ. Whilst we work in a variety of different sectors, our core areas are food & beverage, mining & metals, oil & gas, chemical production and pulp & paper. Our clients within these sectors are well recognised NZ and International brands in their own right.
Our Wellington Industrial team is working on a variety of different project across the North Island. With the potential to grow the office significantly over the next few years - they are now looking for a Civil Engineer at upper intermediate to senior level to join their team.
This role will suit a civil (or structural) engineering who is looking for a new challenge and is keen to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team made up of electrical, mechanical, structural and process engineers.
The team is currently working on a variety umber of projects where there is a need for someone to take ownership of the earthworks and foundations side of things. We will require someone who has consulting experience on projects where there have been extensive earthworks design requirements. Ideally, you will have also gained experience on projects where large amounts of concrete will have been utilised to reinforce foundations and to create large slabs ready to be built on. As part of the wider Wellington Beca team, you will have access to geotechnical engineers and specialist structural people as required.
To be favourably considered for this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following:
* A civil engineering (or related) qualification
* At least 5 + years of post grad experience
* Earthworks design experience
* Experience working with concrete
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to a valuable member of a cohesive team
* Good report writing skills and the ability to present/outline civil engineering overviews as required to the team, senior members of staff, clients and contractors.
