Our client is a long established and respected consulting engineer, involved in designing, building and maintaining process plant throughout New Zealand. Due to continuing growth, we are now looking for an experienced Piping Designer to join their Hawkes Bay based team.
To be successful in this role, you will:
• Be qualified with NZCE/ NDE (Mechanical) or equivalent
• Have a minimum of 5 years design experience
• Be experienced in piping design for industrial plants
• Have experience in piping support structure design
• Have an in-depth knowledge of AutoCAD 3D design and drafting
• Be a self starter, who enjoys a mix of office and site work
• Be able to talk to people at all levels and including liaising with the client
In this role you will be responsible for the design of piping for process equipment and other associated plant, to meet the customers and legal requirements. As well as design and 3D drawing, this will likely involve liaison with other designers, subcontractors on site, and the project management team to ensure the delivery of the project on time, on budget and of the highest possible quality.
