As a result of a number of out-placements combined with a growing workload, we are looking for an environmental scientist or engineer with expertise in contaminated land to join our team.
We are on the search for someone who is at an intermediate/senior level in their career and has had at least 4 + years of post grad experience within the environmental consulting sector. You will take on project management duties for suitable projects within the land contamination sector and you will provide technical input to land contamination and environmental risk management commissions including liaison with clients and regulators as necessary. Your role will also include man management responsibilities and so this role will suit someone who is looking to take on more of a leadership role within their career. As part of this, you will also assist in identifying business opportunities and you will be involved in securing new commissions.
*As the successful candidate you will have an appropriate tertiary level qualification in environmental science or engineering and you will spent a good portion of your career to date working within a consulting or similar capacity.
*Whilst you may have worked across the environmental arena, you will have made a move into contamination issues, and this will be a sector which you will be keen to develop further.
*You will also be conversant with most everyday Microsoft applications and you will be experienced with the development of reports for both everyday business requirements and well as project overviews as requested by clients.
*You ability to relate to people will be a key strength of yours, and you will have the ability to direct people internally to achieve project requirements. Working closely with clients to understand their key requirements will be something you will have a proven track record of doing.
