Position: Engineering, Project Management
We are currently recruiting for Senior Mechanical Engineers with design and project management experience in steel or heavy industry.
The mill is located in a coastal and rural environment in the upper North Island, 45 minutes from Auckland City, producing 700,000 tones of slab a year from iron sand, mined locally. The office is modern and professional and undertakes the capital and major maintenance expenditure for the various plants within the mill.
We require dedicated engineers capable of taking projects from concept through to commissioning using standard project management techniques including:
• cost benefit analysis
• risk management
• capital appropriation
• project planning
• timeline management
• cost control
• project reporting
• client liaison
• procurement
• contract administration
• project close-out
Successful applicants will have either a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with at least seven years experience in design and project management, or a person with an HND, who has a trade background with at least 10 years design and project engineering experience in an operating steel mill should also apply.
