With the upcoming introduction of new rolling stock into the New Zealand Rail Industry numerous opportunities are available for Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineers and Technicians.
New electric trains are part of ongoing rail improvements starting with the introduction of new carriages on the Wairarapa line next year. Station, track and accessibility upgrades are also part of the larger programme of improvements.
Typical opportunities will include:
• Project Managers
• Engineering Designers (Electrical and Mechanical)
• Testing and Commissioning Engineers / Technicians
• Maintenance Engineers / Technicians
In particular we are seeking people to supervise design, manufacture and entry into service of the new rolling stock, plus overseeing major upgrades to the electric train maintenance depot and liaising with associated stakeholders on network upgrades.
Previous experience in project management, design, testing and commissioning of electric multiple units and management of rail vehicle procurement projects would be beneficial.
