This is a key appointment within the organisation, to lead and direct an engineering team focused on the high voltage power services sector.

In this Auckland based role, the incumbent will be responsible for providing engineering support to the Transmission, Substation and Distribution groups, for both maintenance and project activities.

To qualify for this role, the incumbent will have the ability to:

• Provide a professional level of engineering services to internal and external clients.
• Maintain and enhance internal engineering standards.
• Lead a team of multi disciplined engineers.
• Work with the company’s tendering team in high level conceptual designs and project implementation.
• Develop annual budgets and take responsibility for Engineering P&L.
• Mentor and develop graduate engineers in field based positions located throughout New Zealand

The successful applicant will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and be in a position to register with IPENZ. A track record of experience and success in either Transmission or Substation design is essential.
