Reporting to the Intellectual Property Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of in-house intellectual property activity including:
• Working with development teams to protect IP and avoid patent infringement
• Researching and investigating competitor’s patents and products
• Maintaining IP databases to support strategic decision making
• Searching and reviewing patents in key areas of interest to the business
• Liaising with external patent attorneys in all areas of IP activity
• Designing and supporting company IP systems and processes
You will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a patent attorney with formal qualifications in mechanical and/or electronic engineering. Experience in medical devices and/or software engineering will be a distinct advantage.
If you have a positive outlook, strong analytical and problem solving skills and enjoy IP research and analysis you will thrive in this role. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong eye for detail.
