A short term position, up to 4 months, 40 hours per week has become available within Acute Services for a Speech Language Therapist within Dunedin Public Hospital, part of the Otago District Health Board.
 
The position will cover all acute areas providing Speech Language Therapy including general acute, Acute Stroke Unit, Older People’s Health, Neurology, Cardiac and ICU. The clinical work is carried out within the ward setting but may include some outpatient work.

The successful candidate will be involved in delivering a high quality speech language therapy services across the ward settings; liaising with a variety of multi-disciplinary teams; providing education to other disciplines and supporting less experienced SLT team members.

The position requires a Speech Language Therapist with 2+ years experience, ability to independently manage a dysphagia caseload is essential. Tracheostomy experience would be beneficial.

The Successful candidate must be eligible for registration with the New Zealand Speech Therapy Association. They must be eligible to work in New Zealand or have a work visa/permit
