A full time (35 hours) permanent position has become available for an experienced Mammographer to lead the team in Southland.
This busy position, as the head of department is based in a small but very dedicated team delivering Breast Care Services to the Southland district. You will be responsible for the Quality.
Your Responsibilities will include the Southland’s Quality Assurance Programme, ensuring the service operates efficiently and safely and the high standards are met. Ensuring that the service is conducted in a client focused manner and a high level of patient care is maintained within the service.
As the head of department you will be responsible for coordinating the assessment process of the mobile and fixed sites, maintaining the Staff roster and ensuring Staff are effectively supervised and support is provided as required.
The successful candidate will have a mature attitude, excellent verbal and written and communication skills, a high level of self motivation and be an excellent team player. You will have an awareness and sensitivity, on issues and barriers for women from variety of cultural backgrounds.
Ideally we require an MRT with 3+ years experience, and registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board plus a Current Annual Practicing Certificate
