The Clinical Head role will include taking an organisational wide leadership role in reducing waiting times in the Emergency Department and fostering effective acute care patient pathways including trauma.
Our client has four emergency specialists and a stable senior nursing team.
Our client has recently become accredited for specialist registrar training by the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine, and are two years away from having a brand new Emergency Department with adjacent Admission and Planning Unit.
You will be expected to role model expert clinical care and to actively promote and lead clinical audit and quality improvement based on a culture of open disclosure and transparency. In partnership with the nursing manager and service manager, you will lead further clinical development of the service and support its business objectives.
Our client has a reputation as a supportive environment for clinical leadership and multi-disciplinary teamwork.
This position, inclusive of clinical activities, is full-time (40 hours per week including rostered shifts) plus an after hours on call roster of senior medical staff.
You must be registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and the holder of a higher qualification in Accident and Emergency Medicine eg; FACEM, FFAEM.
