The School of Economics and Finance (SEF) seeks to appoint at the Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) level in Finance. We are especially interested in individuals with expertise in empirical corporate finance, other areas of specialization will also be considered. The appointment is with tenure.

School of Economics and Finance (SEF) is located in the Faculty of Commerce and Administration. The Faculty is home to about 5,000 students and the School is one of the largest in the Faculty, providing undergraduate as well as graduate Honours, Masters, and Ph.D. degree programs. The SEF has very strong links with research, business, government and financial institutions in Wellington and wider New Zealand, and provides a lively research environment. SEF is currently in the process of re-building and further developing its research capabilities and enhancing the strengths of its undergraduate and graduate programs.

Victoria University of Wellington is a research-intensive university. It is New Zealand’s capital city university with strong links to the private and public sector in the country’s administrative and financial capital. The School of Economics and Finance is located in Wellington’s vibrant downtown near the Parliament and Reserve Bank. The university serves a culturally-diverse student population of over 20,000.
