As a specialist obstetrician-gynaecologist at Grey Base Hospital in Greymouth, you will work in partnership with a senior colleague. You will both work together in making decisions, and will operate within the O&G service in a way that best suits you and the community. You will be supported by a team consisting of two O&G specialists, lead maternity midwives, a resident medical officer and experienced nursing and allied health professionals.
The Grey Base Hospital obstetric, surgical and theatre areas are very well-equipped and modern. Although professionally somewhat isolated, there are very close links with the major South Island tertiary hospital in Christchurch, only three hours away by car.
For all of these positions you will have, or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Packages are negotiable, including relocation costs, and several accommodation options are available.
