The Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation Unit is located within Southland Hospital, a superbly resourced facility re-built five years ago. The Unit itself has 30 inpatient beds and incorporates outpatients clinics with a focus on older person’s services. Significant emphasis is also being placed on the development of a mental health services for the elderly.
Working in tandem with the Service Manager your focus will be on the day-to-day operation of inpatients and standards of nursing care. Managing a team of 24 nurses, yours is a lead others naturally follow. It’s a team that will welcome innovative ideas, practices and input.
A registered nurse you’ll ideally have a post graduate qualification in older persons health or rehabilitation. You may be a Nurse Manager looking for more professional scope or you might well be particularly talented individual keen to take your career places faster.
