“The further south you go, the friendlier it gets!”  A popular and very true saying. Southland is home to approximately 104,000 friendly people, who enjoy a relaxed family lifestyle, and who are living at the gateway to some of the world’s most amazing scenery and exciting outdoor activities.  Milford Sound, Te Anau, Queenstown and Stewart Island are all within two hours!  Combine this with a pleasant moderate climate and an affordable lifestyle ….the further south you go the better life gets!

Southland Hospital has four operating theatres staffed from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm and nurses participate in an on call roster for out of hours work.

If you are an experienced Operating Theatre Nurse this could be the opportunity for you.  We have positions available with both full-time or part-time options available.   You must possess sound clinical knowledge and a patient centred nursing philosophy.  It is essential that you communicate well and  have the ability to work as an effective member of the friendly Perioperative Services Team.
