We have a committed forward-thinking multi-disciplinary Radiation Oncology team and are currently looking for a new Medical Physicist to join us.

This team provides a Tertiary Radiotherapy Service for a population of 300,000 in the Otago and Southland region of New Zealand.

The service has three linear accelerators; Varian iX and 21EX (with Onboard Imaging) and Varian 600C. Other equipment includes a Pantak ortho-voltage unit, Radionics stereotactic system, and Impac patient management system. Treatment simulation is performed with a Philips Accolade 16-slice CT scanner and broadband access to CMS Focal. CMS XiO provides treatment planning for 3D conformal and IMRT. The department provides the national service for stereotactic radiation treatment.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be willing and prepared to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. You will have a postgraduate degree in Medical Physics and ACPSEM Accreditation (or willingness to work towards it) specialising in Radiation Oncology.
