The School of Health and Social Services undertakes teaching, research and professional services in the fields of Health, Disability Studies, Midwifery, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Social Policy and Social Work.

The School is seeking applicants for the 0.8 position of Professional Clinician in Nursing (Primary Health Care) and welcomes applications from Registered Nurses who have a commitment to nursing education and are competent to teach in the area of Primary Health Care within the Bachelor of Nursing programme. The successful applicant will be required to assist with teaching in more general areas of the programme as well. Pending the expertise of the applicants, the School is willing to consider two 0.4 positions (0.4 Primary Health Care and 0.4 Medical/Surgical/Generalist Nursing). Variations on the part-time position may be considered. The appointee will be expected to contribute to both the ongoing development of nursing education and research relevant to the clinical area or education.

The appointee will hold a current Annual Practising Certificate and have a relevant Masters degree.
