Our client is requiring a Wireless OSS Engineer who has exceptional knowledge of Linux, Solaris Systems and Sybase databases. Be part of the growing OSS Engineering team, responsible for OSS system hardware and software installation maintenance and trouble-shooting. Providing innovated OSS IT solutions to customers.

The essential job functions and responsibilities are:

• Equipment maintenance, software upgrading, application trouble-shooting;
• Develop competitive E2E solutions on OSS for the customer;
• Linux Systems administration and maintenance;
• Sybase Database administration and maintenance;
• Working with large application environments and IP networks;
• Frequent business travels to support projects in NZ & Pacific Islands will be required.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• At least 2 years experience with Linux, Solaris System and Sybase database;
• Experience with MYSQL database is an advantage;
• Experience with Windows Server 2003 or later is desirable;
• Previous experience in a telecommunication equipment vendor environment is preferred;
• To be confident in your ability to work with the team and with in a dynamic systems environment;
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills;
• Outstanding problem solving skills;
• Excellent time management skills;
• A Bachelor degree or above majoring in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or related area is preferable;
• To be bilingual, speaking English & Mandarin, would be an advantage.
