This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a very busy environment, focussed on ensuring the placement of a full complement of junior doctors at Southland District Health Board.
The Medical Officers Unit is a small, motivated and dedicated team. Part of your role will be the attraction, selection ,recruitment and orientation of junior doctors to the hospital.
On a day to day basis this position provides support to the doctors including managing and maintaining rosters, leave management, reimbursements and general effective administration whilst ensuring compliance with SDHB policies and guidelines.
It is essential that you are highly organised and can communicate with both internal staff and external organisations in a professional manner. A higher level business administration or HR background would be a distinct advantage.
