Perioperative Services, Southland Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic person to join our team in the operating theatre. We cover a wide range of specialities in a modern up to date facility. You need to be motivated, flexible and adaptable to a changing environment. This is a full-time position with teaching on the job and distance learning for the theory and practical component.

This trainee position offers a pathway to a qualification while working full-time within our multi-disciplinary peri-operative service. The training is competency, experience and task based and supported by trained staff.

You must be able to demonstrate that you are methodical, a good communicator and autonomous in your work. It is preferable that you have completed the following to at least Level 3 NCEA (7th Form equivalent) Level 2 NCEA Physics and Level 3 NCEA Biology or AUT Anatomy & Physiology Level 3 (or equivalent).
