A better life in Takapuna

After visiting an Opportunities Expo in the UK, Kirsty Pritchard and her partner made the move to beautiful Takapuna, a beachside suburb north of Auckland city.

“My partner and I were looking for a better quality of life. We were tired of living in heavily populated areas with not much going on. We fancied an adventure and we love to travel.

“At the Opportunities New Zealand Expo I spoke to several agencies including Hays. I also spoke to several banks, one of which was the Bank of New Zealand – I opened up a bank account with them there and then. I also spoke with banks about employment. I thought the expo was great – very informative and the people were very helpful.

“When I arrived in New Zealand, Sheridan from the ASB bank called me up for an informal interview. This led to me being selected for an interview at Sovereign. I am now currently employed at Sovereign in Takapuna where I am an administrator in the distribution department.

When we arrived in New Zealand we were very jet lagged after the long flight from the UK. However, we got straight into exploring. We were very fortunate as we found an amazing apartment that overlooks the Harbour Bridge on our second day. It was raining when we arrived but the weather soon picked up and we spent our days travelling around Auckland and soaking up the sun on many of the beaches that surround Auckland.

“We find New Zealand a beautiful place and we cannot wait to go on more adventures.

“New Zealand is a lovely place and the people here are so friendly and helpful. The Opportunities New Zealand Expo is a great help, and there is so much information available on the internet.”
