I couldn’t be happier with my decision!

I first learned of Global Health Source through a fellow ultrasonographer who had travelled and worked around Australia and New Zealand and spoke very highly of the agency. As soon as I contacted Global Health, they were incredibly keen to get me started and to help me in every way with the application process. As someone who hadn’t applied to work overseas before, I am so grateful for the guidance and assistance I received from the Global Health agents who contacted me at home and ensured I was on track in completing the application process. With their help, I received registration and multiple offers to work in New Zealand. My agent was patient in helping me decide which setting suited me best, and I accepted a position in a public hospital in Wellington, New Zealand.

Laura makes a new friend in New Zealand

At 23 years old, it was intimidating to imagine showing up in a new country with a new job on my own. Although a challenge like that can seem quite daunting, it is unimaginably rewarding to prove to yourself that you are capable of making friends and a life for yourself in a brand new setting. As with anything, you can expect small set backs. I had originally found a flat online before I moved to Wellington, but when I arrived it was not at all what I had expected, and I decided not to take it. However, I managed to find a beautiful new flat in the city centre, with a great flatmate within two days of arriving.

I couldn’t be happier with my decision to work at Wellington Hospital. My co-workers were incredibly welcoming, and I was fortunate enough to meet my best friend working there. I love going into work every day. The cases are interesting and challenging, and I have an absolute blast everyday with my co-workers. I love my life and job in Wellington so much that at the end of my six month contract, I accepted an offer of permanent employment.

I can’t stress enough how wonderful the staff of Global Health Source has been throughout my entire experience. It was such a comfort to know that I could contact my agent about any questions I may have had and she was always keen to help me. Not only was she always there to answer my questions, but she also took the initiative to contact me and make sure I was on top of things. Also, if ever I were to contact my agent when she was away, I received an email from one of her colleagues addressing my questions. Not once was I ever left to chase after answers or to wait for a response. Having had no previous experience in finding work overseas or applying for visas, I couldn’t have pulled everything together without Global Health and I continue to seek their guidance.

I have had such a rewarding experience working overseas and would absolutely recommend it to anyone seeking some adventure in their life. Global Health Source is an entirely reliable agency that will guide you through your experience, and help you to make it the best it can possibly be.
