Who we are

EDS founded the information technology outsourcing industry more than 46 years ago. It began as a subsidiary of Texas IT services giant EDS Corporation. EDS offers a broad range of IT services for New Zealand and offshore clients. Our technology services work behind the scenes to touch the lives of every New Zealander.

Information technology outsourcing

EDS owns, houses and manages clients’ IT equipment ranging from mainframes to PCs to networks. EDS pays more than one million beneficiaries each fortnight for the Ministry of Social Development, and runs the IT infrastructure for the world’s sixth-largest dairy exporter, Fonterra, and New Zealand’s biggest listed company, Telecom.

Applications development

Our applications development teams create, test and maintain software applications for domestic and offshore clients. The applications division has strong expertise in technologies such as Java, .Net and SAP as well as legacy applications.

Business process outsourcing

This arm of EDS includes a state-of-the-art contact centre in Auckland and several print and mail centres. BPO manages most of New Zealand’s cheque-processing each night.
