We are a different type of recruitment agency. Different in that we want to deal with great doctors with great skills who are looking for interesting and challenging work and don’t mind a bit of an adventure.

If you like adventure and rewarding work that uses all your skills then we are the agency for you. The work we are best at finding will usually the sort of job that makes a difference and has a rural or remote flavour. It could be on a tropical island in the Indian Ocean, a ski resort in New Zealand, or an Aboriginal community in the Australian outback. It could involve doing obstetrics including Caesars, using your emergency skills in an isolated hospital, being a GP, and working with Aboriginal children on a public health project (and it is possible that it could be all those things in just one job!). If you are that sort of doctor then we think you are pretty special and we like to make sure you get the support and remuneration that you deserve.

Who we are

Ochre Recruitment is an organisation not only proficient at recruiting to the health industry, but importantly is one that has an intimate understanding of the industry. Its founding owners, Dr Ross Lamplugh and Dr Hamish Meldrum have over 20 years procedural general practice experience in rural and metropolitan Australia.

Ochre Recruitment is comprised of a dynamic team of experienced health recruiters and a management team with extensive knowledge of medical and hospital administration, medicine, nursing, allied health, finance and IT.
