Can my partner also migrate on my visa?
Both unmarried partners and spouses can be included in an applicant’s EOI and in later applications for residence as long as they meet immigration criteria. If a visa is granted, residence will extend to partners (regardless of whether they are legal spouses or not) and dependent children included in the application.
Note: The holder of the student or work visa must have been issued with a visa allowing a stay in New Zealand of more than six months for the partner to be considered as eligible. There are also some exceptions to this rule; for example, partners of working holiday visa holders are not eligible.
