Are you an experienced perioperative RN wanting to take a step up in your career?
We have opportunities for experienced perioperative RNs to be responsible for the day to day operational management within the Operating Rooms, and support our OR Charge Nurse Managers.
You'll enjoy being the clinical expert and the operational go-to person in your given surgical specialty. Reporting to, and supporting the Charge Nurse Manager as their leadership representative, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the specific operating room. As the OR Lead your tasks will range from end-to-end clinical duties, people leadership, and operational duties including resourcing, both staff and equipment. This role is ideal for someone seeking a balance between people management and utilising their perioperative expertise. Please note, there are no direct reports for this role.
We're looking for someone who has exceptional communication and relationship building skills along with the ability to think on their feet and make effective decisions. You're adaptable and adept at building positive relationships with our Specialists and wider members of the Operating Rooms teams. Being organised and well-prepared is second nature to you. You're known for your professional maturity, positive attitude and being the go-to person for your team.
To be considered for this role you must have a valid APC, a minimum of 3 years' experience in a perioperative setting in NZ, and strong OR experience in any of these specialties (adults or paeds): General, ORL, Orthopaedic, Neuro, Urology, Plastics, Gynae.
